Start very early in the morning to see the endemic Sisserou and Jacquot parrots at the beginning of the trail. Mount to the top of Dominica, 4747 ft/1447 m above sea level. The adventurous ascent is worth it, best view of Dominica. Day trip, very strenuous hike, 5-6 hours walk, very good hikers only
Note:2/3 of the ascent is strenuous hiking, last 1/3 is climbing and crawling over and under big roots and trunks. Only very small backpack is possible to carry. No water available along the trail. You have to carry a bottle with you.
